IMPORTANT NOTICE regarding the availability of 2-stroke "Dinosaurs"

As of January 1/2012 due to EPA regulations all traditional carbureted 2-stroke outboards are no longer manufacturered in nor imported into North America. For Yamaha that means all 2- strokes 115HP and lower.

Yamaha has recognized that the proverbial ship has sailed on even the larger direct-injected 2-strokes ( that still do meet EPA standards ) as unit sales over the past several years show that 98% of customers have put their money on the proven reliability, longevity, quietness and efficiency of the modern 4-stroke outboard, thus Yamaha has ceased to import their high pressure direct injected ( HPDI ) 2-stroke models as well.
