The F225 combines the 4-stroke’s clean, quiet, fuel-efficient attributes with the unmitigated muscle of a V6. It’s exceedingly lightweight, and smooth-running, and was specifically engineered to meet the demands of today’s torque-hungry V6-powered boats.

Yamaha’s unique Labyrinth Exhaust design makes it so quiet at idling and trolling speeds that you might forget it’s even running. And it burns so clean that it exceeds 2006 emission standards and carries a CARB three-star rating for ultra low emissions.

The 4-cylinder Double Overhead Cam engine gives you power rivaling a 2-stroke V6, and works in tandem with the brains of our advanced microprocessor ECM (Engine Control Module) to give you precision Electronic Fuel Injection based on engine load and speed

The F115 Jet Drive (80hp) will take you places a prop can’t get to – and you won’t even have to tilt the motor for a shore landing. Because all Yamaha jets are marine-inspired 4-strokes, they’re compact, lightweight, clean-burning and smooth running.
